This year my baby (he would tell me off for calling him that) turned 6! I promised him last year we wouldn't have another party after the superhero-themed-chaos that was number 5, but I couldn't resist. Planning it all myself proved pretty stressful last time, so I knew that I didn't want that hassle again. So instead, I called upon local caterer Suzanne James. She had recently launched 57 Northcross Road, a gorgeous private hire space in the heart of East Dulwich, hosting supper clubs, cooking classes and an array of events in between. As soon as I see the soft textiles, clean lines and big wooden tables, I knew I wanted to do something here!
I asked for a baking class in the cooking school, cupcake decorating and a buffet for the children and lots of Prosecco and an afternoon tea for the grown ups.
An array of sweet treats for the children to tuck into once they finished their cupcake decorating. A gorgeous mini afternoon tea for the grown ups to enjoy while the mini guests where being looked after by Suzanne and the Chefs (clearly we were too hungry to stop and take pictures).
Not your typical 6 year olds party but we had such a fantastic day, everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the food! I'll take this over a superhero party any day. "Best day ever", apparently ;) x
